What happens in the chair
Four things,
every single time.
Nobody leaves here having settled for near enough. This is how every chair runs, from the moment you sit down.
The ask
You describe it. Your barber asks back: length on top, where the fade starts, how hard you want the line. Nobody starts cutting until you and your barber are describing the same haircut.
The fade
Skin, taper or scissor. Thirty minutes for a haircut, forty with the beard, and we hold to it. One client came in before his graduation party and walked out with a full taper and beard inside half an hour.
The face
Most shops stop at the neckline. We shape the beard, do the brows, and keep threading and waxing on the same menu, so the whole face reads finished and not just the haircut.
The check
Mirror up, both sides, before the cape comes off. Those last thirty seconds decide whether you got the cut you actually described. It is the reason 387 of our 428 reviews are five stars.
The menu
Prices, plainly.
Book any of these online in about a minute. Tap a row to take the next open slot.
Walk-ins are welcome every day we are open. Give us a call on (224) 470-2951 and we will tell you what the wait looks like.
Beard, brows, the whole face
The part other
shops skip.
Beard shaping is twenty minutes and twenty-five dollars. Eyebrows go on the same booking. Threading and waxing sit on the menu as services, not as favors you have to ask for.
Our reviews keep pairing the two. “Perfect beard work with a fresh taper fade, all within 25–30 minutes.”
Six chairs, most days full
It is busy
for a reason.
This is a working shop, not a waiting room. Six chairs run alongside each other and the queue keeps moving, which is how we get through a Saturday without leaving anyone sitting around.
Regulars ask for their barber by chair number. One review just says “the guy at #6.” Everybody in here knows exactly who that is.

Before you come in
Questions,
answered.
Do I need an appointment at Mark’s Style, or can I walk in?
Both. Walk-ins are welcome every day we are open. Booking online is what guarantees you a specific barber at a specific time, which on a busy Saturday afternoon is the difference between sitting down at 2pm and waiting for a chair.
How much is a haircut at Mark’s Style in Morton Grove?
A booked haircut is $35 for 30 minutes. Hair and beard together is $50 for 40 minutes. Beard shaping on its own is $25. Adding eyebrows to a haircut is $40, and hair, beard and eyebrows together is $55. Walk-ins are welcome too, so give us a call on (224) 470-2951 and we will tell you what the wait looks like.
Is Mark’s Style open on Mondays and Sundays?
Yes to both. We are open 9am to 6:30pm Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm on Saturday, and 9am to 2pm on Sunday. Seven days a week, every week.
Who are the barbers at Mark’s Style?
Mark Zaya owns the shop and cuts in it. Hermez Zaya also takes bookings by name. Dani, Onel and Bryan are on the floor too. If someone got it right last time, ask for them by name when you call or book.
Do you cut kids’ hair?
Yes. Kids’ cuts are a regular part of our day, and several of the cuts in the gallery above are children. Give us a call on (224) 470-2951 and we will book one in.
Do you do beards and eyebrows, or just haircuts?
Beards, eyebrows, threading, waxing and hair designs are all on the booking menu, not extras you have to negotiate for. Beard shaping is $25 for 20 minutes; men’s threading and waxing are $10 each for 10 minutes; designs are $10.
